Malia's got bling!!

Yesterday was quite the day for Malia. She has been wanting to get her ears pierced for quite some time now, but Rod has had his reservations, so we put it off. Rod and I had discussed maybe waiting until she was eight or something, but nothing was concrete. Yesterday as we were out doing some shopping, I jokingly pointed at a Claire's store and whispered, "Hey, we could always go and get Malia's ears pierced". Rod didn't even hesitate, he just turned around in the car and asked her if she wanted to get it done. Of coarse she said yes, so in we went. She was a little nervous because she didn't know if it would hurt or not. We talked her through the process and she did great. She picked out some really cute pink stone earrings and just loves to check them out in the mirror. Last night as Rod was running around with the girls, Malia kept saying, "Dad, be careful with my earrings"!Malia cried for just a second after they did it, but calmed right down. Afterward we asked her if it hurt and she said no. She said she was just crying cause she was scared that it might hurt.
